FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ROCKED II.

KMSA HOLDS BENEFIT CONCERTS FOR WORLD WAR 2 VETERANS

For the second year in a row, KMSA 91.3 FM, Mesa State’s student run radio station is throwing an event to benefit the Western Slope Honor Flight. Last year, one concert was enough to raise over $900. This year, instead of throwing just one concert, they have organized two concerts on two separate nights under the banner of, “FOR THOSE WHO HAVE ROCKED II.”

The first show will be Saturday, April 30th at the VFW Post 1241. This is an all age’s show, with doors opening at 3:30. There will be an $8 donation taken at the door. The full service bar will be open, and burgers will be for sale fresh off the grill. The following bands will be performing:
• Royal Talons (Denver based Doom Metal)
• Murder Café (G.J based Improv Lounge Metal)
• Beer Death (G.J based Grindcore)
• The ImanI Experience (G.J based Experimental Prog)
• One more band TBA
The following day, Sunday, May 1st will see Tenacious Brothers Pub holding a 21+ show, also benefiting the Western Slope Honor Flight. Doors open at 8:00pm, with a $5 donation getting you in to see the following bands:

• Earth Burnt Black (Greeley based Metal)
• The New Fall of Man (G.J based Progressive Metal)
• Beer Death (G.J based Grindcore)

Western Slope Honor Flight has been organized under the national organization (Honor Flight Network), for the purpose of flying veterans from the Western Slope of Colorado to and from the memorials in Washington DC absolutely FREE! The next flights out of Grand Junction are scheduled for May 4th and 5th.
KMSA has been afforded the opportunity to hold these events with generous donations given by Lil’ Guido’s Pizzeria, Cottonwood Liquors, Flyn’ Roosters, The Frech Family, Tenacious Brothers Pub, and VFW Post 1241.
